A wall-mounted home battery that stores power when it costs less, supports your home when power costs more, and earns on the grid in between. It works in the background. tīrama owns it, installs it, maintains it and manages it.

The cells
The cells inside are made by REPT BATTERO. In 2025, REPT shipped more home energy storage battery cells than any other maker in the world.
The unit
FEB, Far East Battery, builds the unit: the battery, the inverter and the management system in one. FEB has been on BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 list of energy storage manufacturers since the second quarter of 2026.
It fills overnight and whenever power on the grid costs less.
Morning and evening, your home draws from the battery instead of the grid.
It sells what your home does not need back to the grid. A rising share of what it earns is credited to your bill, and the rest helps hold your rate down.
If the grid goes down, it keeps your home’s main circuits running.
Every tīrama home gets the same battery: three stacked 5.12 kWh LFP modules, 15.36 kWh in all. We tune how it charges, how much it holds for your home and what it sells to the grid to the way your household uses power.
Enough usable capacity to carry a typical New Zealand household through the expensive hours, morning and evening, then sell what is spare to the grid.
Lighter and heavier households get the identical unit. We set how much it holds back for your home and how much it sells to the grid, from your actual usage. No hardware to choose.
The cells inside are LFP, lithium iron phosphate. It is the chemistry the industry has settled on for homes because it is stable, it lasts, and it does not use cobalt or nickel.
The battery, a hybrid inverter and the management electronics are built together as one unit on your wall.
The inverter turns stored power into the power your home runs on, and back again. It is up to 98% efficient, runs on the standard single-phase supply, and can take solar straight in if you have panels.
Three stacked LFP modules store the energy, 15.36 kWh, the same in every home.
Converts power in and out at up to 98% efficiency, and feeds in solar if you have it.
The built-in brain watches the cells, balances them, and keeps everything inside safe limits.
Over the top, tīrama tells it when to charge, when to hold, and when to give back.
There are no settings for you to manage. tīrama runs the battery from its own platform, reading the market and your home, and moving energy at the right moments.
Our platform tracks wholesale prices, grid conditions, and any solar coming off your roof, minute by minute.
Overnight and in the abundant middle of the day, the battery fills up, quietly and automatically.
When the grid is expensive and demand is high, morning and evening, your home runs off the battery instead. That shift, twice a day, is what makes the lower rate possible.
When your home does not need it, the battery lends fast support to the grid, and that income helps keep your rate low.
LFP cells are the most thermally stable common lithium type.
The built-in management system guards temperature, current and voltage continuously, and shuts things down long before any limit is reached.
Rated IP65 against dust and water. Cooled without a fan and rated at under 25 decibels.
Islanding, surge and lightning protection are all integrated, so it behaves safely on the network and disconnects cleanly when it must.
If the grid drops, the inverter can switch to backup in under 20 milliseconds, holding your home’s main circuits up. Hot water and EV charging are controlled loads on their own circuits and are not powered by the battery.
Built to IEC 62109 safety standards, installed to AS/NZS 5139 for home battery systems, and connected under the AS/NZS 4777.2 grid rules used here in Aotearoa.
Installed by licensed electricians, monitored remotely, and owned, maintained and managed by tīrama. If there’s an issue, we fix it or replace it at no cost to you.
The hardware, the install and the upkeep are ours. What reaches you is a power rate lower than the cheapest equivalent plan in your area when you sign, a share of what the battery earns, and backup when the grid goes down.
